Benjamin Franklin once said, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” This resonates with me both in the way I aim to teach and why continuing to learn is so important. I want my students to be engaged and active participants in their learning. Visual art is an accessible avenue for this though I believe creativity, innovation and participation belong in all classrooms.
