| Teaching Philosophy & Bio | I’m an IB MYP & Personal Project Coordinator at Upper Canada College, where I design systems and frameworks for learning across Years 6–10. My work centers on three connected things: scaling how students learn to tackle complex, open-ended problems; integrating AI into curriculum in ways that sharpen rather than replace thinking; and ensuring the pedagogical approaches we build in the MYP actually prepare students for the intellectual demands they’ll face in the Diploma Programme. This year, I’m focused on interdisciplinary teaching and systems thinking, specifically, on making them visible and teachable. That means redesigning our Personal Project to surface iterative problem-mapping, developing faculty protocols for project-based learning that demand real disciplinary rigour, and working through our AI strategy not as a tech rollout but as a curriculum problem: where does AI reasoning belong in our disciplines, and what do students need to understand to use it responsibly?
I’d love to connect if your interests intersect with mine. [email protected] |
