<p>The most exciting parts about this are 1. the agency teachers have in the process (how much to buy in, what to buy in to , etc.) and 2. that your school is so open to dynamic PD.</p>

<p>Yeah! The twitter journey has been fascinating &#8211; they&#8217;re also showing their humour. I recently saw a &#8220;selfie&#8221; Ismene posted of herself and Antigone (two of the main characters) &#8211; and it&#8217;s actually just a charcoal drawing in classic style &#8211; the antiquated photograph, I suppose. </p>

<p>What I see in your design is the opportunity for students to enjoy reading. By asking them to engage through Harkness discussions around a particular question, they can really own their knowledge and experience of a text. </p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have  friend who assigns characters in her Shakespeare plays to students in the classroom, and puts them all on twitter.<br />
All characters have a twitter account e.g. @MacbethTMS14  and these are each assigned to a different student, who has co-access to the account with the teacher. </p>

<p>Yes, decreased reading times are particularly challenging in the English Classroom! I just edited the post with some further thoughts and some concerns, incorporating that issue. </p>
<p>That is a great article to think about skill-building and resilience with reading tasks. </p>
