My last blog post for Cohort21 was a couple of years ago: I’m ashamed to admit that between my participation in the program in the 2016-2017 year I have been slacking off on blogging. But I will say that the learning I experienced was not lost on me at all. I was invigorated each face-to-face session to bring back fresh perspectives to my school and to further explore design-thinking strategies. Last year I embarked on a different PD journey, taking on an action research project that I was fortunate enough to present at the IBSC Annual Conference in Australia this summer, but I knew I needed a new challenge for this school year. I am excited to be a part of the Cohort21 family again, this year in the form of a coach. I look forward to learning from each new participant in the program, in addition to my fellow coaches and all of the facilitators, and to offer my support throughout the development and execution of action plans all year.

My wonder-abouts for this school year (one of which may turn into my action plan!) include:

How might I give feedback to my students in a more efficient way?

How might I record data more regularly?

How might my students take more ownership for their learning in French class?

How might I incorporate more opportunities for spontaneous speech in French?

How might I structure class time to allow for portfolio entries and reflection?

I can’t wait to explore these topics and more at our first F2F on Saturday!
