It is always such an amazing feeling as an educator to see the creative and diverse tactics teachers are using to make learning fun and effective.  Joining in a special workshop to see the Cohort 21 in action was very inspiring and a little intimidating, but oh, so worth it!  Quick workshops on Blogging, Diigo, Twitter and Google Hangout, left me feeling a bit overwhelmed, but also excited to see where I can integrate it into my classes.  Thinking quickly, I can image a classroom a few years from now using Diigo instead of textbooks. Using Google Hangout to connect with our exchange student once she returns to her home school.  Tweeting is still a bit of an unknown for me, but I can see its use as information sharing once I understand better the format of the site.  As for this wordpress…we’ll this is a first attempt and somewhat unsettling posting my thoughts.  Nonetheless, I’ll be bringing the information back to Ottawa!

  1. Hi Geri,
Glad to hear that you had a great experience yesterday! Don’t worry if you’re feeling overwhelmed. As Melissa (@mjolicoeur) put it in her blog, “Sharing is Scary!” but as Heather (@hadams) points out, we need to be vulnerable, or overwhelmed, in order to learn. Check out their blogs here:

Looks like you’ve got blogging down though! 🙂

  2. HA! Reading this post actually reminded me of Vivienne’s post that was dealing with the same question…you should read it and share a comment about coping with the feeling of being overwhelmed: http://cohort21.com/viviennekraus/2015/10/19/is-being-overwhelmed-better-than-being-underwhelmed/#comment-10
