Let’s make this quick and dirty. I have never done this before and am nervous-excited. Is it as good as everyone says?! Yes, my first time blogging. Do I have something to say that is of value to everyone? I’m very much an actions speak louder than words kinda girl. I prefer to do it, rather than talk about doing it and so the idea of writing down my deepest darkest thoughts about anything idea that scurries across my brain seems a little tedious and unnecessary.  BUT, I am also a huge believer in being open to the new. Even though the concept of blogging has been around for probably more than a decade, it’s all new to me. In all my years on this planet, I have figured out that nothing can be gained by sitting quiet in a corner. It’s only through interaction and collaboration that we as humans can grow into something better. Stay tuned…

  1. It was so great to meet you yesterday, Wendy! I am still thinking about how our earrings kind of matched. This first blog post is a great step because now you are a blogger who has blogged. Based on our conversation yesterday I bet you a blog post could form around some of your carpentry processes and/or products. I would love to see some of your work, and there would be natural parallels between your carpentry process and the process of learning new concepts. I am looking forward to reading more!

    1. It was very cool to meet you, too, Leslie. Thank you for sharing your story with us. It was clearly a powerful moment for you. Thank you for your thoughts on a carpentry blog. You’ve got me thinking! Looking forward to seeing you again in a couple weeks. Enjoy the snow this week 🙂

  2. Great job pressing ‘post’ on your first blog entry @wdarby ! There are so many ways to utilize your blog, make it meaningful for you, play around with your approach to it & have FUN! Remember that all those brilliant ideas ‘scurrying around your brain’ may be “obvious to you, amazing to others”. Look forward to hearing more about your ideas at the next F2F in Nov.

  3. I’m sorry about coming to this late @wdarby, but congratulations on jumping into the excitement. You’ve already put yourself out there with honesty, and maybe that’s the hardest part of it all. Can’t wait to see where this journey takes you!
