After the students built their junk rockets, we thought we would try a poster as they did well with their Magic Show posters.
Some of our students had trouble coming up with an idea for their open-ended space stories. We thought they could use this poster the next day as a starting point, like a graphic organizer. As you can see below some decided to use it and some students decided to find hot sauce on the moon instead 🙂
This step helped some of our students who weren’t sure what to write about.
Taking SK literacy to the next level! Love this structure, and wonder if I could use Visual Prompts in Art for them too!
Hi Kiloran, this looks like such a fun idea! I love the use of prompts as well. Well scaffolded! I am sure these prompts could also be used again for things like story telling or sentence generation for your literacy work.
I’m excited to see what’s next!
