Bio:
Dr. Kozma is a Professional Engineer, holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto and teaches physics, mathematics and computer science at Holy Name of Mary College School, where she is the Senior School Innovation Lead and Robotics Coordinator. Dr. Kozma is the Lead Mentor of FRC 7659, HNMCS Robotics. She believes in the importance of developing the technical skills of today’s youth. In 2023, Dr. Kozma was awarded the lifetime achievement FIRST Robotics Competition Woodie Flowers award for her outstanding success of motivation of youth to pursue STEM careers. Dr. Kozma is always looking for challenging and creative ways to create STEAM opportunities for girls. HNMCS Robotics has grown from an after-school club of 2 girls to a competitive team of over 65 females in its second year.
