We are looking for teachers from any discipline

There is no previous knowledge required

Do you want to learn to use Big Data to enhance your teaching?
Or, better yet, do you want to be able to teach your students to manage this valuable resource themselves?

If so, consider joining the “Big Data in YOUR Classroom” group. You will:

• learn in a small group with experts in the field from SciNet at University of Toronto

• learn how to develop materials you can use in your practice to connect the curriculum to practical problems and their solutions

• meet other teachers from a variety of disciplines who are interested in the ART and science of making sense of data

If you teach sciences, economics, math, statistics, geography, computer science or any other subject and have a desire to learn about this exciting field of inquiry:

Meetings will take place on the second Thursday of each month, starting in October, at 4:30pm. The location for the meetings will be University of Toronto Schools, 371 Bloor St W.

There is no fee for participation, other than enthusiasm for the topic.

Act now, as space is limited!
