Every stakeholder in education needs to have their needs met.” I keep returning to the idea that student wellness is connected to the people and conditions around students. Supporting students matters deeply, and so does recognizing that the adults in education have needs that deserve attention. I am grateful for this reminder because it asks me to think beyond a single solution and consider the broader community involved in learning and well-being.

At the same time, an important question remains unfinished for me: “How do educators find enough time to everything well, while at the same time meeting the needs of students.” I do not have a simple answer, and I do not want to pretend that the tension disappears with good intentions. The question points toward a practical challenge: how to make space for thoughtful work when the needs of students are present and pressing. It also helps me name where I want to direct my attention next.

As I turn toward Season 15, my new curiosity is “Creating quality inquiry experiences within manageable planning sessions with colleagues and on my own.” I want to explore how meaningful inquiry can take shape without making planning feel unmanageable. That curiosity includes both collaboration and individual work. It is not a finished plan; it is a direction I hope to investigate with care, staying open to what becomes clearer through conversation, reflection, and practice.

If asked what surprised me, my answer is “No surprises”. That response feels honest. Rather than pointing to a dramatic shift, it leaves room for steady learning and for noticing what is already in front of me. My evolving professional identity is captured in one word: “Planning.” I see planning as a meaningful part of the work—not simply preparation, but an opportunity to shape experiences with intention.

I use Cohort 21 for “Creating and refining powerful learning experiences for students.” That purpose connects my questions about time and inquiry to the work I hope to do. I want to keep learning with others, bringing ideas forward and refining them so that the experiences I plan can better serve students. I know the work will take patience, and I am thankful for a community in which questions and ongoing development can have a place.

My soundtrack for this next stretch is “Start Me Up! Need to get some of these planned before the year begins.” It carries a practical sense of momentum: begin, make room to plan, and take the next step. As I move into Season 15, I hope to leverage community by learning alongside colleagues, curiosity by staying with the questions that matter, and coaching by using reflection to keep refining my practice. I am moving forward with gratitude and hope—not with every answer, but with a clearer focus and a willingness to begin.

Reflection One insight I carry forward from Season 13 is this: “That student wellness is not a one stop shop.
