I love how invested you are in your students’ learning and how you always have their best interests at heart. What you are doing with them this year is going to have a lasting affect as they continue to grow as mathematics learners.

Thank you for your kind words, Esther. You should speak with @mmurray about assessment and feedback in the math classroom; he’s been exploring some neat practices. Of coure, I’d be happy to chat with you about my process as well at our next meeting!

Well done @mmurray ! I love that you got “surprising” responses rather than just the ones you were expecting. Have you tried VNPS in your class or read about Peter Liljedahl’s “Thinking Classrooms” concept? He talks a lot about randoming grouping and its benefits. See you tomorrow!

We are happy you are with us this year and along for the ride. Engagement has been a popular and necessary action plan topic in the past, which means there are a ton of resources to be found from past Cohortians on this topic, and in a Math class. @mmoore is one of the most innovative math teachers I know and is worth talking to and…Read more

This is my big blind spot in teaching. I want to do it more regularly but I have so many questions about timing, the subjective nature of assessing it, etc. and I desperately want to speak to others who are doing this successfully, i.e. you and @mmurray !
