Honestly, I’m not sure about others but my action plan is in constant motion. Sometimes its like trying to herd cats and other times its this moment of enlightenment where I think “F*#@ ya! That’s why I do this!” The peaks (wins) and the valleys (lows) are constantly helping and hindering moving student learning forward.  From the sharing and learning together to the constant interruptions and push back, I feel stuck while moving forward.  A wise Principal told me once, go slow to move fast, but what about the 94 students graduating this year?

I share with you my action plan in pics because in the end its all about the students and what they take with them as they make some of the biggest decisions of their lives.  Mental Health, Human Development, Sexual Health, Substance Use and Abuse, Personal Safety and Injury Prevention – digitally and physically, and Movement competence and confidence to move for life, the Ontario Health and Physical Education Curriculum is one most comprehensive, arguably in the world for preparing and promoting Health and Physical Literacy.

The GOAL…

The ACTION…

The Journey…

*Oops forgot to check off “Share with the HSC Community” Actually this is pretty ongoing, but if you’re wondering what we are doing here at HSC PE check out @jsetzkorn post on “Understanding Your Physical Literacy Journey”.

Awareness, Advocacy, Action, Accountability – back to the climb!

See you at the top!

  1. Thanks @mverbeek I am excited to learn more about your progress. We have built in lots of time to collaborate and share tomorrow both with your team as well as others who share the same goal. The peaks and valleys ARE part of the C21 journey. Embrace them, they are where the learning is greatest. See you tomorrow!
