Way back in February I unexpectedly became the focus of an action plan tuning discussion group, and what a lucky break it was for me!<\/p>\n

I have to confess that I was incredibly nervous as I have never participated in something like this before, but @ddoucet<\/a>\u00a0gave me a snapshot of the protocol which was so clear with respect to the timing I thought for sure I could handle it [it probably didn\u2019t hurt that I only had 20 minutes to think about it :)].<\/p>\n

It was a really interesting experience, especially the \u2018warm & cool\u2019 feedback section. As people were posing questions and making comments, it was so hard not to jump in to answer or clarify what I was trying to do. But I listened and I wrote notes, and I reflected. As a result my \u2018how might we\u2019 question changed. It is a little bigger, but I think it has more focus: In a personalized learning unit, how might we monitor and motivate<\/strong> students while learning independently<\/em>.<\/p>\n
