As with most new starts, this new school year comes with lots of changes for me. \u00a0There are changes to my role in the library and at Cohort 21 – I’m so excited to be returning as a coach!<\/p>\n

I was reflecting on this time last year and my first post<\/a> to this blog which was motivated by my anxieties about the Cohort 21 experience. \u00a0Looking back, this year I’m not at all nervous about what I was then. \u00a0Of course new anxieties are going to accompany new roles but, at school, we talk about being open to change, mindful of our thoughts, and resilient. \u00a0I’m proud of how my experience as a Cohort member last year helped me to develop these skills. \u00a0I consider it one of the many unexpected benefits of this PLN: the opportunity for personal, as well as professional, growth.<\/p>\n

My action plan didn’t always go according to plan, there were conflicts with school schedules and setbacks with Aurasma<\/a>, but I tried my best to use these apparent problems as opportunities for reflection. \u00a0I’m trying to do that again now as we gear up for the first Face 2 Face at Bayview Glen in a few weeks.<\/p>\n

To new Cohort members, I would say: try not to be nervous. \u00a0There’s no better place than this incredibly supportive community to try things, discover new resources, take risks, and have the courage to fail. \u00a0I’m looking forward to meeting you on October 17!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
