I can&#8217;t believe this is only my second post!<\/p>\n<p>Anyways, I have enjoyed using the Cohort 21 tools in my work at school. I helped guide the Grade 11 English teachers with a new Twitter assignment in their classes. It was a great exercise, where students were commenting upon questions and interviews about the graphic novel &#8220;Maus&#8221;. Twitter was completely new for the teachers, but the students were ALL over it! It really made me feel old when I started the lesson by asking who used Twitter (95% of them) and who used Facebook (60%) and the response about Facebook was that they only use it to add trip photos for their grandmothers to see! ACK! I guess this falls in line with their recent third-quarter <a href=\"http:\/\/articles.marketwatch.com\/story\/one-more-thing-teens-hate-facebook-2013-11-01?link=MW_story_latest_news\" target=\"_blank\">review<\/a> that showed a decrease in Facebook use among young teenagers.<\/p>\n<p>I guess this is why it&#8217;s so important to keep on top of the edtech blogs &amp; twitter feeds, so that we can keep the technology tools we use to be relevant for our students!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well&#8230;we are coming up to the next F2F and I have guiltily been unable to stay on top of the Cohort 21 expectations.
