So excited to be part of this group. The teachers I have met today are keen, motivated and enthusiastic not only about student learning, but their own professional learning and becoming better educators in the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t wait to start using my social media, my Google Apps to connect with Cohort 21 and teachers around the world.\u00a0The collaborative excitement is in the air!<\/p>\n<p>Some things I would like to try in my classes are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Diigo<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In my Canadian History class to build a research database<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Socrative.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exit Ticket to gage student understanding and to ask questions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Twitter<\/strong> in the classroom???<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Still feeling a bit overwhelmed by this one as to how to use it as an educational tool&#8230; we&#8217;ll have to see!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some things I would like to try for myself as professional development are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Diigo<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Building a PLN<\/li>\n<li>Doing professional reading<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Twitter<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Joining\/creating a PLN<\/li>\n<li>Connecting with other Cohort 21 members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any tips or feedback?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What an inspiring day!
