Social-emotional: perseverance
Allowing students the space to make mistakes and develop social-emotional skills to foster healthier adults.
- Ability to use their entire brain. (unlock creativity)
- Allow boredom – space where they sit in feelings, reflect, problem solve (screen-free)
What Questions guided my AP? The lack of SE growth/awareness with my students drove the focus. I wanted to find a way to allow students to be kids while developing and growing their SE.
What have I learned through this process? The importance of collaboration with peers. Making space for this is crucial for change and development.
What questions do I still have? Im still working on ideas on how to complete my action plan and align it with the Crescent Strategic plan. How can I get time and space for Students to develop these skills? How will the Crescent community make room for anything but perfection?
