So how can we tell if we are moving in the right direction? And where are we in our progress?<\/p>\n<address>My Cohort21 Action Plan is about moving from intuition to data.<\/address>\n<p>By performing a Program Evaulation for the use of Technology in our school, I will help to measure our progress in the achievement of the goals of the St. Clement&#8217;s School strategic plan (2012-2017).<\/p>\n<h3>Professional Learning<\/h3>\n<p>Part of the professional learning I will undertake is a combination of :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research Methods<\/li>\n<li>Program Evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Strategic Planning, and<\/li>\n<li>Coaching for Program Development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Research Approach<\/h3>\n<p>First, I will need to learn about Research Methods. Dr. Leanne Foster will help guide my approach to this project, to make sure that it focussed to the aims of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scs.on.ca\/strategicplan\" target=\"_blank\">SCS Strategic Plan (2012-2017)<\/a>,\u00a0holds reliability, validity and meets the purpose for which it is designed.<\/p>\n<p>Next, I will brainstorm questions and create surveys that will meet these domains of inquiry:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhanced Learning Environment (Tools, Tasks, Places)<\/li>\n<li>Professional Culture (Levels of Use, Learning \/ Adoption \/ Collaboration, Digital-Age Work)<\/li>\n<li>Implementation Standards (Variety, Consistency, Quality)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Then, I will use the survey data to create focus groups in which I can hold conversations about the domains of inquiry.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, I will share my data and some analysis with school administration. I will also blog as reflection on the results and my approach to the project.<\/p>\n<h3>Evidence of Learning<\/h3>\n<p>My learning will be evidenced through the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www2.education.ualberta.ca\/staff\/olenka.Bilash\/best%20of%20bilash\/Triangulation.html\" target=\"_blank\">triangulation<\/a>\u00a0of:<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www2.education.ualberta.ca\/staff\/olenka.Bilash\/best%20of%20bilash\/Images\/triangulation.gif\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the successful creation and administration of two surveys: one for staff &amp; faculty and another to students<\/li>\n<li>the summaries of curated focus groups<\/li>\n<li>the personal reflections in my Cohort21 blog<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u00a0Invitation for Participation and Support<\/h3>\n<p>The more we share, the richer we become. &#8211; Jim Strachan<\/p>\n<p>I invite your perspective.
